The City of Basehor, Kansas is accepting resumes for the position of Director of Finance/City Clerk.

Basehor is located on at the intersection of US 24/40 and K7 in Leavenworth County and is one of the fastest growing communities in Kansas. With recent investments into new schools and infrastructure Basehor is poised to be one of the Marquee communities in the Kansas City Metro Area. The City has a 5.5M budget with 26 full time employees.

Appointed by the Mayor, the Director of Finance/City Clerk is an exempt employee and provides leadership and financial guidance to the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in municipal financial management, excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills, with 3-5 years experience in a similar or related position, and 5 years of experience in a supervisory role. Applicants are required to have a bachelor's degree in a related field and a CPA is preferred but not required.

The KMEA, a joint action agency, seeks highly qualified professional for the position of Director, Finance & Accounting.

Responsibilities include managing the accounting systems and financial statements, preparing budgets & monitoring financial results, setting internal accounting controls, and overseeing accounting for bond issuance. Requirement includes at least 5 years of finance experience in the electric industry accounting, bond issues, and regulatory aspects of electric utility industry. Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; advance degree preferred.
