The Kansas Government Finance Association (KSGFOA) was founded in 1999 and serves more than 200 professionals across the state of Kansas from state, county, and city governments; school districts, colleges, universities, special districts and private firms.

KSGFOA was established as a nonprofit organization to promote and foster excellence in governmental financial management through education programs, technical referral network, information concerning legislation and accounting policies that may affect the finance professional.
